• Materials: We’ll be using neoprene (scuba) for the black base sections—it provides great structure and a sleek, professional finish. The rest colored materials are different.
• The Feet: We go with reinforced “toe-socks.” This approach keeps them sleek, comfortable, and functional for walking while staying true to the character’s silhouette.
• Vision & Breathing: We use a blue fabric for eye holes, which gives the opportunity to see. Since the mask doesn’t have a nose bridge, it needs to sit slightly away from your face to avoid uncomfortable pressure. Because of this gap, the seamstress will add mesh inserts underneath to improve airflow and make breathing easier.
