The process of cosplay creating.

How do we do props?

We love 3D printing. And that is why most of our props are 3D printed and made of plastic. It’s sturdy and light. 3D modeling allows us to make super detailed and exact models for a decent price. So when our customers order something unique, we discuss all the details, all the things that should be made in the model, all the dimensions, etc.

We start 3D printing, do assembling, working on 3D printed parts as much as possible, to make them smooth and nice.

After assembling is finished, we start painting work. And here we have almost the same process. We discuss all the details and all the shades, that our customer wish to have. It does not take too much hassle. Everything is set now, we finish painting work! The props is done 🙂

Before we ship it, we make sure our customers approve the props. So now it’s ready to go!

And what about costume making?

Crafting a cosplay costume involves several key steps, each contributing to the creation of a stunning and accurate representation of the desired character.

Material Selection: Choosing the right materials is crucial to bring the costume to life. Cosplayers often consider factors like durability, accuracy, comfort, and budget. Fabrics, such as cotton, polyester, or specific specialty fabrics, are chosen for different parts of the costume, while accessories may require materials like EVA foam, plastic, or even metal.

Pattern Creation: Patterns are essential for achieving accurate costume proportions. In most cases, we draft the patterns from scratch based on the measurements of the customer. This step ensures a proper fit and helps determine how various pieces will come together. That is why we need accurate customer measurements. which we send before we start.

Fabrication: The actual construction of the costume involves cutting, sewing, and assembling the foam and fabric pieces according to the pattern. We use sewing machines, hand stitching, gluing, and other various techniques to create a well-crafted costume. Attention to detail is crucial to replicate unique design elements accurately.

Props and Accessories: Cosplay costumes often feature accessories and props that complement the character’s appearance. This can range from weapons and armor to jewelry and distinctive headpieces. Different techniques like sculpting, painting, and 3D printing are used to create these components, ensuring they are accurate and sturdy. As we mentioned previously, in most cases we use 3D printing..

Fitting and Adjustments: Once the costume is assembled, fitting and adjustments are made to ensure it fits comfortably and flatters the wearer’s body shape. Modifications might include altering the size, adjusting seams, or adding closures like zippers or hooks.

Finishing Touches: The final step involves adding finishing touches to enhance the overall appearance of the costume.

Cosplay costume-making requires creativity, patience, and attention to detail. The process allows cosplayers to bring their favorite characters to life, embodying the spirit of the source material with passion and dedication.
